Unify Energy Solutions to Relocate Corporate Headquarters to Generation Park

Unify Marks 8th Company to Relocate its Headquarters to the Lake Houston Development

HOUSTON (November 17, 2021) – McCord Development announced today the addition of its newest tenant, Unify Energy Solutions, which provides management and automation solutions for commercial energy consumption. The fast-growing company has leased 39,930 square-feet in Generation Park’s award-winning Lockwood Business Park, bringing over 100 employees to the Lake Houston development.

“Since opening in 2013 we have grown exponentially, and it was time to relocate our headquarters to a place that better represents our brand for both internal and external stakeholders and sets us up for continued growth for years to come. Generation Park checked all of the boxes,” said Todd Searcy, CEO of Unify Energy Solutions.

Unify will occupy Building 2 in Lockwood Business Park, a 124,618 square-foot building located at 13221 Lockwood Road. Unify Energy Solutions is expected to move in March 2022 and will join GHX Industrial and Freestone.

“As leaders of businesses look to the future of where and how they want their organizations to work, the quality of life and environment a location has to offer continues to climb the ladder of importance,” said Ryan McCord, President of McCord. “The emphasis we put on delivering a positive human experience is one of the reasons why Unify selected Generation Park for their new headquarters location. We can’t wait to see their employees out enjoying the trails and parks, in the restaurants with friends and family, or on the lawn at Redemption Square enjoying live entertainment.”

Unify Energy Solutions was represented by Grant Wisenbaker and Travis Smith of Caldwell Companies. McCord was represented internally by John Flournoy. Lockwood Business Park Building 2 is now 100% leased.

Lockwood Business Park’s location within the master-planned Generation Park enables quick access to all of Houston’s major highway systems and convenient access to IAH Airport, the Port of Houston and downtown Houston. Additionally, Generation Park is home to the campuses of Lonestar College and San Jacinto College, both capable of implementing curriculum tailored to the needs of the businesses, such as Unify Energy Solutions, in the development.

A third flex-office/lab building totaling approximately 66,000 square feet is planned to open in Lockwood Business Park in 2022 and is available for pre-lease. For leasing information please contact John Flournoy at 713-860-3100 or jflournoy@mccord.com.
