Our stellar land development team, Bryan, Chigo, and Hunter, has done it again. They’ve just completed $56MM of new infrastructure improvements ON TIME and ON BUDGET for Target’s new 1.4MSF distribution center, developed by Panattoni, at Generation Park.

Here’s what our team delivered

New Roads

1.1 miles of new roadway were constructed with streetlights, lit roadway to the facility to enhance accessibility and to ensure smoother logistics. A few of the roads being Common Dock Dr., and Timber Forest Dr., will help separate truck and car traffic in the area and give direct access to the facility and Beltway 8.

New Lakes

Nearly 800,000 cubic yards of soil was removed to create 12,000 linear feet of new amenity lakes. In total, 5 water detention ponds were created to help with stormwater runoff, spanning 65.33 acres. This allows us to expand upon the beautification of Generation Park. Opening up opportunities for future trails and navigable lakes.

New Power

Over 1.5 miles of underground 3-phase power was installed underground to deliver power to Target’s new 1.4 million square foot distribution center. We deliver power underground to provide a more resilient infrastructure that can weather whatever mother nature dishes out, a true competitive advantage against above group power lines.

New Water Utilities

The team also tackled the issue of fresh water and sanitary sewer needs for this new part of Generation Park. The team constructed a new water plant with two water wells to help deliver potable water and a water treatment plant with 727 feet of sanitary sewer to help with waste.

This part of Generation Park was previously undeveloped. It was a true greenfield project for a client that trusted us to deliver on their schedule. We want to thank (Principal Services, Harper Brothers, SER, Hassell Construction Group, B-5 Construction, R Construction, ATZ Environmental, Prime Trees and Double Oak) for tackling this project with us.

It's impressive to see such a comprehensive approach to infrastructure development, especially with the emphasis on sustainability through the creation of amenity lakes and underground power lines. I came across a useful write-up here https://babeai.chat/ that highlights the importance of these improvements for both logistics and the community. Kudos to the team for completing this project on time and on budget!
