McCord sells 145 acres in Urban Fulfillment Corridor to Panattoni Development

Houston, TX – (April 12, 2023) – Construction is underway on a massive 1.4 million square foot Target distribution center in Generation Park, a 4,300-acre commercial development in the Lake Houston area of northeast Houston owned by McCord Development.  Panattoni Development, one of the world’s largest privately held, full-service real estate development companies, acquired 145-acres of land from McCord in 2022 and is developing the 1.4 million square foot project that is scheduled for completion in 2024.

“Target is a great addition to our Urban Fulfillment Corridor at Generation Park and brings our fulfillment and distribution footprint to over 7 million square feet” said Ryan McCord, President of McCord Development. “Target selecting Generation Park alongside the likes of IKEA, Broadrange Logistics, and Centris Industrial, further strengths our position as one of Houston’s core logistics hub.”

Generation Park’s Urban Fulfillment Corridor (UFC) provides companies with strategic infill locations for distribution and fulfillment centers minutes from the center of Houston’s population, the IAH international airport, and the Port of Houston and can accommodate single building footprints in excess of 2 million square feet.

Target is the most recent company making the logistics move to the Lake Houston area joining Chewy, IKEA, Broadrange Logistics, Metro Furniture, Amazon, and Living Spaces among others.
